Good Morning!

First and foremost, a huge thank you to those of you who have already registered your swimmers and are looking forward to kicking the season off at our May 30th Mock Meet. We will be opening registration for that meet as soon as late registration closes on May 15th. In the meantime, please mark the date of our open house:

April 26th, 1pm till 3pm. (Still undecided on KK and Donuts or Bagels...but there will be snacks!)

The open house is the perfect opportunity for parents to meet the swim board and address any questions or concerns parents may have. If you haven't registered your child by the time of the open house, well you're in luck because we will be registering swimmers live on that very day! On this day, you can also have your swimmer fitted for a swimsuit should you choose to purchase one from the team website. We do recommend ordering your swimmers suits prior to May 15th to provide ample time for processing and shipping. All suits are mailed directly to the shipping address provided on the order form. Should you choose not to order an official team suit, please note that the official uniform color for us this season remains as all black. There are pretty specific rules all communities swimming under the Greater Charlotte Swim League must follow, and the one we've seen communities be sticklers for is the team uniforms. So as long as your swimmer is wearing an all-black swimsuit at the meets (swimsuit manufacturer brand logos like Nike or Speedo are fine, but there can be no other organizational branding on the team uniforms), you are fine.

It has also been brought to my attention that the website isn't displaying all of the meets that we will be swimming unless you click on the 'view all' option to expand the web snippit the meets actually show up under. Unfortunately, at this time, this doesn't appear to be something that we can control. In the meantime, I just wanted to let every know that we definitely have more than 4 meets this season and if you click on 'view all' you will get the entire schedule, including the Mock Meet which went up this past Monday.

Finally, while we have a wonderful community of committed residents, we truly couldn't be as great as we are without the participation and commitment of our outside families. That being said, we are one of the few communities in the league that truly believes all kids should have the opportunity to 'JUST SWIM!' regardless of location, residency or memberships. If any of you know a family living in a community that does not have a pool or does not have a swim team and would like to join ours, please do not hesitate to share my contact info with them.
