A solar eclipse is impressive. A comet is rare. But Cinco de Mayo on a Taco Tuesday? That's a once-in-a-lifetime convergence of cosmic proportions. Scientists are baffled. Philosophers are weeping and Somerset is counting down to our first practice of the season!  Things have never been better than today!  

We are super excited to see all our swimmers on May 18th, our first day of practice!  This will be our Head Coach's first day meeting all of our swimmers and parents.  We will also have our assistant coaches available.  While not all swimmers will be ready for an official meet within 2 weeks, we do encourage all swimmers to sign up for the Mock Meet happening on May 30th at 8am at the club house.  For those of you who are new to the process, I will be sending an email with instructions on how to register your swimmer for the mock meet.  This is excellent practice for registering your swimmers for all future meets as well.  

Since we are on the topic of registration, every year during registration, we request families donate snack and drink items which the team use to sell at our home meets.  These help us raise money for the additional expenses we incur throughout the season.  They are the only way we manage to keep registration costs low for all of our families and help us provide a positive fun-filled experience (end of season pizza party, weekly krispy kreme donuts etc.) for the kids throughout the short season.  We ask that you please signup on the signup genius link below and deliver these on Saturday May 30th to the club house or anytime before that to the address on the signup genius.  

Finally, I want to thank every single one of you for being part of this team.  Summer swim doesn't happen without all of us chipping in for the 3 weeks required to run the meets.
