Good Morning!

Tomorrow is our Mock Meet.  We have a decent number of swimmers lined up.  If you haven't declared your swimmer, you have until 2pm today to do so before Mock Meet registration automatically closes.  Once registration closes, if you have not declared, your swimmer will NOT be allowed to swim in a meet.  We will be running this meet in a way as to give folks an idea of what to expect for the rest of the season.  Things will move very quickly and meets start on time every time, hence the reason we have the mock meet as a quick training.    

Below are the important details needed for tomorrow:

Uniform:

Swimmers are to wear an all black swimsuit.  Caps and shirts will be distributed and coordinated with Melissa.

Arrival Time:

Swimmers should be at the pool and ready to warm up no later than 7:30am.  All swimmers will gather inside the baby pool to help keep them out of the way for the meet setup crew.   

Each group will get 10 mins warm in the water. 

Volunteers:

Volunteers should be at the pool at the same time as Swimmers and report directly to the area adjacent to the restrooms for volunteer check-in.  The volunteers instuctional meeting will be happening at 7:40am sharp!  This is where we will give instructions on timing, clerk of course, score keeping etcs.  If you are on the meet-set up Parents who have signed up to volunteer for tomorrow morning, THANK YOU!  We are still missing a few volunteers and worse case scenario if I haven't filled the spots by this afternoon, I will randomly choose you guys to fill in and get us through the 2hrs.  

The meet will start at 8am sharp with an expected end time of 10am based on the number of swimmers that have declared.  Ideally we should be completely done, broken down and pool turned over no later than 10:30am. 

Finally, we have a lot of brand new additions to the team who are still learning the ropes.  Parents, please do your selves the favor of downloading the swimtopia app from your respective app store.  You will LIVE BY THIS app during the season.  It is the place that we send quick updates regarding weather delays or cancellations, in addition to registering your kids for upcoming meets, live scoring of the meets, heatsheets, swimmer tracking and all other sorts of analytics.  

For those of you who are not familiar with marking your kids so they know what events/heats/lane they are in, you will quickly be able to look in swimtopia for your child, retrieve the information and take a sharpie to a leg or arm and mark them like this:
