Good Morning Stingrays!!

Please find below the important information for our first time swimming at Providence Downs.  As of right now we are missing ALL of our stroke and turn judges, 2 for the first 1/2 and 2 for the second 1/2.  No judges, no meet tomorrow.    

Arrival & Warm-Up Schedule

• Home team warm-up: 5:25 PM
• Away team warm-up: 5:40 PM
• Pool cleared by: 5:55 PM
• Meet begins:Event 1, Heat 1 will start promptly by 6:00 PM
• The away team sits on the far side of the pool, where the small clubhouse with restrooms is!

Officials & Timers

• Timer & Official Meeting: 5:50 PM by the main entrance.
• We do not switch our volunteers at the half before IM, but will pause for your team to switch. Please have volunteers ready for a fast transition!

Parking & Gate Access

• Gate Code for Rea Rd Entrance:#7227
  • Please do not arrive before 5:00 PM.
  • Do not park on the narrow section of Kentucky Derby past the four-way stop (directly outside of the clubhouse or past the clubhouse entrance, there will be signs)

• Use wide sections of Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs which lead to the clubhouse
• We highly recommend carpooling
• Park on one side only of main roads to allow for emergency vehicle access
• Please read all signage on where to avoid parking

Concessions

Located under the awning on the home team side.  We accept Cash or Venmo (@PDswimteam).

Offerings include:

• Chick-fil-A sandwiches, cool wraps & nuggets
• Water, soda, Gatorade
• Chips & candy
• King of Pops will also be onsite!
• Thank you for supporting our concessions as team fundraising!

Pool & Clerk of Course Details

• Our pool has 6 lanes, 25 meters in length.
• Diving takes place at the 5-ft deep end only.
• Younger relay swimmers will start in the water at the shallow end.
• Clerk of Course:
  • Home team: Under the tent on team side
  • Away team: Away team side under trees
• Restrooms: Located on the away team side.
